He participates in various interesting projects as a creative force, like "Toxic Smile", "Seven Steps To The Green Door", "Stern (Combo) Meißen" - and the melody-oriented "Cyril", of course. Besides Marek Arnold, the latter comprises well-renowned songwriters Manuel Schmid and Michael "Larry B." Brödel - all of them former or current songwriters for "Stern Meissen". On this album, Guy Manning wrote most of the lyrics. Favorite track: Peal Of Thunder.

I received the vinyl version of "For king and country" today through justforkicks Germany. Such a wonderful album in this rerecorded version. I did own the Si-music version on CD many year ago, but sold it for reasons back in the days. This new version is a complete different thing. A real gem. It brings back memories and is something completely new and different at the same time. Happy have the digital version as well for my outdoor music time. Thanks a lot. Mr. Richman jr.

The revived Big Big Train shows that you can't keep a good band down for long with a fairly easy listening, non confrontational selection of songs both traditionally long and catchingly short. if at times the acoustic guitars and sharp keyboard breaks are reminiscent of early Genesis then this is fully intended and respectful to the likes of Messrs Rutherford, Banks and Phillips. Vocal harmonies are, as expected, a delight to the ear and the whole is a big step forward from Welcome To The Planet graeme wright
